A San Diego-based passenger day cruise line, is seeking an experienced Lead Marine Mechanic/Manager to oversee maintenance operations for a fleet of vessels. The ideal candidate has experience with Scania engines and has leadership experience or capabilities.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead marine engine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting operations for the fleet of vessels
- Manage and mentor other mechanics
- Ensure boat systems, decks and hulls are in safe/proper condition
- Troubleshoot, repair, and diagnose Scania engines
- Diagnose and repair marine electronics systems
- Maintain other systems including: generators, electrical systems, pumps, & plumbing
- Maintain records, logs and reports of maintenance performed
- Communicate in a professional manner
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience with marine diesel engines
- Scania or MTU marine engine experience is preferred
- Leadership experience or management potential
- Experience with Coast Guard Inspections is ideal
